Programme Profile

As the world of computing evolves, it brings along the transformation of the process and operation in a workplace. Dynamic knowledge workers areultimately needed to cope with these changes. The Bachelor of Computer Science program prepares students to become computer scientists and data professionals who will be competent enough to face such computing challenges in their workplaces. In this program, students will be trained to gain scientific concepts and principles of the latest computer technology and software development. The content covers core topics such as computer problem solving, operating systems, database, software engineering, computer security, and specialized electives including artificial intelligence, big data analytics, networking, platform-based computing and mathematic. In addition, General Education Subjects encompassing language studies and extracurricular activities will shape the students into strong and versatile individuals that are capable to cope with the demanding working environment. Many of the offered courses require the students to work both independently and in a team, thus, preparing them into participating in a real-life working environment. Some industry-based short courses and certification programs are also available to the graduating students at the end of the program. This program should definitely be the first choice to secure a promising future in computing industries and organizations.

Admission Requirements

1. A Diploma in Computer Science / Quantitative Sciences / Mathematical Sciences from UiTM with a minimum CGPA of 2.50
OR
2. A Diploma in Computer Science / Quantitative Sciences / Mathematical Sciences from UiTM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00
AND
at least one (1) year working experience in relevant fields
OR
3. Relevant diploma of UiTM from Science and Technology (S&T) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50
AND
Credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent
OR
4. Relevant diploma from other institutions which are recognized by the Government of Malaysia in Computing with a minimum CGPA of 2.50
AND
Credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent
OR
5. Relevant diploma from other institutions which are recognized by the Government of Malaysia in Science and Technology (S&T) with a
minimum CGPA of 2.50
AND
Credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent
OR
6. Asasi UiTM / Asasi Sains UM / KPM Matriculation with a minimum CGPA of 2.00
AND
Credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent
OR
7. STPM or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00
AND
Grade C in any two (2) subjects
AND
Credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent
OR
8. Pass MQA (Aptitude and Portfolio Assessment Test)
AND
Age 21 years old and above
AND
Seven (7) years working experiences in relevant fields
AND
Pass interview at the faculty level

note: All applicants must pass MUET with minimum score of Band 2
