FSKM Students Arrival at IITU Kazakhstan

Assalamualaikum and Warm Greetings,

Alhamdulillah, it is with immense pleasure to inform that 13 FSKM students have arrived at International Information Technologu University (IITU) Kazakhstan last Saturday (25th March 2017) for their mobility program. They are doing well and have been going for classes since. They will be FSKM ambassador for one spring semester, which is until mid-July 2017, where they will be following undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Their departure to Almaty was accompanied by our Deputy Dean (PJI & ICAEN) Assoc. Prof. Dr Haryani Haron and UiTM-IITU Liaison Officer, Assoc. Prof. Dr Nursuriati Jamil. The FSKM delegates were warmly received by Ms Svetlana, IITU Director of International Affairs Department and IITU students. It was heart-warming indeed when IITU students who formally did their mobility program with us were there to receive our delegates.

It is currently 5◦c at Almaty with scenery filled with snow blankets. The cold seems to pass like a gentle breeze as the students are more excited with the new environment and are looking forward to rise to new challenges and gaining new experience. They have been making new friends and find the classroom experience stimulating. IITU representatives praised the students of setting in really well and fast.

Following the success of previous inbound student mobility programs between IITU and FSKM, the IITU management has invited Dr Haryani and Dr Nursuriati on a series of meetings to further pave collaboration potential. Both institutions are keen to further establish this relationship into areas of staff mobility, joint research, joint supervision and many more. This would be FSKM’s effort in putting FSKM and UiTM on the world map.

FSKM would like to convey its many thanks to Prof Dr Hjh Azlinah, the esteemed Dean of FSKM as her continuous support has made this exchange program possible. Also, thanks to Dr Mior Harris, Director of OIA; Dr Zaibunnisa and OIA team for the assistance provided in preparations and logistics matters. Of course, not to forget, the chancellery management from the Academic and International Office for funding this exchange program.

Well done to the lecturers and students who have worked hard for this program. We pray for the success of the student exchange group and hope they will return home safely and with new global mind-set further establishing FSKM in Excellence.
