Programme Description
The Master of Science in Applied Statistics programme is offered to accommodate both working professionals and fresh graduates to acquire analytical and statistical skills. The programme offers a curriculum that provides a balanced approach towards learning of statistical theory and its applications. The core courses give a thorough grounding in advanced and modern statistical methods with additional topics in data science.

Students will be developed into highly competent statisticians, analysts, executives and managers, who are well qualified in their task accomplishment at the workplace and other professional areas through Data Science and Business and Social Sciences tracks.
The programme embraced and facilitated collaboration with SAS Institute and Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM). These mutual beneficial collaborations served the students, lecturers, and the organisations in providing certification, training, software with support, and produce ground-breaking research. The industry also assists in developing an industrial driven curriculum.
