PAPER SUBMISSION


General Guidelines for Paper Submission

Authors should submit an original paper in English, carefully checked for grammar and spelling, using the online submission procedure.

i-USEr 2021 accepts both regular (completed) research papers and research-in-progress as well as case study papers.


Paper Format

All authors are required to follow the ACM Paper template for the preparation of their manuscripts. Production of the manuscript will be a much smoother process if authors make use of the available MS Word template which incorporates all the recommended formatting guidelines.

All manuscripts shall have minimum of 10 to maximum of 12 pages. Page length includes figures, references, and an abstract. Author whose paper has more than 12 pages will be required to pay extra charge of RM140 or USD 35 per page.

  • Language used: Papers must be written in English.
  • Originality: Your submission must be original; it cannot be published or under concurrent review elsewhere. If you make multiple submissions to i-USEr 2021, they should be distinct from each other.

Review Process

Your paper submission should be anonymous to enable double blind review. Please remove author names and affiliation as well as avoid mentioning the name of grants, or funding institution in any sections of the paper. Papers that violate the anonymization rule will be desk-rejected, so please carefully check your paper before final submission.


Submitted papers will be evaluated based on their originality, presentation, contributions, and relevance to the theme of i-USEr 2021. Your paper will be peer-reviewed using double blind format where external reviewers do not know the identity of authors, and authors do not know the identity of external reviewers.

Paper Acceptance

All papers accepted by the conference committee will need to undergo the standard process of article submission as per journal’s guidelines.

The papers have a chance to be published in one of the following scopus journals subject to the normal double-blind peer review process as set by journals:



Accepted papers by the conference committee must be presented at the conference during the conference track session for publication eligibility. At least one of the authors needs to register and present the paper at the conference.
